"Hi", my name is Mollie and Welcome to my Daycare Website. I own and operate "Walnut Tree Childcare". I am a Licensed Home Childcare Provider here in Knob Noster, Missouri about a mile outside the back gate of Whiteman AFB. I have been married to my wonderful husband for over 20 years now and we have 4 beautiful children and 2 adorable grandchildren. My husband is retired military as of Jan. 1st, 2004 after 22 years of dedicated military service. In my free time I love to scrapbook and just hang out with my children. I love animals. But I think cats are my favorite. We have 3 cats and 2 dogs. I am also very fond of ducks. I know that may sound strange, but while I was growing up, every year for Easter my dad would bring home a baby duck for my brother, my sister and myself. They were so adorable and they would follow us everywhere. And as they grew they made great pets. You have never felt something tickle so much as to have a duck nibble on your ear lobe. LOL.... If I could have them again, I would have a bunch of them. I just love watching them. I think they are beautiful animals. I have been in the childcare field professionally now for the last 20+ years. I am certified in Infant, Child and Adult CPR and First Aid. I have had many years of extensive training in the following fields: Food Handlers / Enviromental Health / Child Safety / Child Abuse Fire Safety & Prevention / and Early Childhood Development, including but not limited to: Cognitive Development, Physical Development, Emotional Development & Social Development, and both small and large motor skills. And many, many hours of different types of early childhood development and childcare training. I started out at Bergstrom AFB in Austin, Texas and have been licensed at every base that we have been stationed at since then. I was licensed here at Whiteman AFB for 4 and a half years before we moved off base! Even after we moved I wanted to continue to provide care for children so I opened my home up off base for childcare and received my license through the state. I have been licensed now for over 3 years through the state of Missouri. Walnut Tree accepts children between the ages of 6 weeks to 3 years. We specialize in the care of infants and toddlers.
